Brad has been carrying our organization's torch for the past four decades. At the beginning of his career, he worked for Mr. Fowler's son until he decided to sell most of his belongings and all his savings to take ownership of Rand and Fowler. This risk paid off, not only because he became successful from it, but also because he's given hundreds of employees the ability to support their loved ones through meaningful work that betters their communities.

As an outdoorsy person, Brad can be found on the ski slopes or on the bike trail. Traveling is also an important part of his life, and he attempts to visit a new exciting destination every season. Within the community, Brad is a socialite, rubbing elbows with our cities' affluent citizens. This natural extroversion also allows him to form strong relationships with his staff, many of whom have been with him for decades.

Steve has been a part of Rand and Fowler for more than 30 years. As the president of our Coquitlam location, he's known as a strong leader that can sail through both industry changes but also the coastlines of British Columbia. When he isn't soaking in the freedom the sea provides, you'll find him working diligently to grow and sustain our business.

Derek is the person to look up to when you need guidance, especially when it comes to auto insurance. With his abundance of knowledge and interpersonal skills, he's been able to build and sustain business partnerships as well as manage road agents. On top of all this, he's a funny, easygoing person with lots of personality to share.

Derek is a family man, so watch out for those dad jokes!

As a recent addition to the Rand & Fowler team, Afshin injects new, fresh energy into the organization. With his education in Business, Insurance Industry, and an understanding of the digital world. He is working to transition the organization into the digital space. He's eager to continuously grow in his profession by gaining more knowledge and experience in the insurance industry.

When he isn't helping clients or creating the next marketing campaign, you can find Afshin on one of Vancouver's many hiking trails.

Laura joined the Rand and Fowler Coquitlam office in 2004 after moving away from her legal secretary career. As a life insurance agent, she's met people from all walks of life and enjoys learning about her clients' lives and goals. Her ability to make insurance understandable and approachable helped her quickly move up the ranks within our firm, becoming a branch manager at the Boundary Road office. Mentoring others and watch them grow is one of the best decisions she's made.

In the competitive, ever-changing world of insurance, Laura prioritizes her education so she can stay up to date on current product offerings and market trends. By expanding her knowledge, she's able to help her clients find the best insurance solutions for their needs.

When she's not working, Laura's happiest on the trails with her dogs. She also enjoys camping with family and friends or going on an adventure with her husband.

Gigi has been with Rand & Fowler since she started working in insurance in 2014. She is always available to answer questions, provide insurance advice, and help her clients achieve their goals. Her clients appreciate her honesty, integrity, and dedication to her work.

When she’s not working, Gigi is spending time with her kids. She has a 6-year-old boy and a set of 4-year-old twin girls. Her family loves car racing and most of her children and pets are named after cars or racing drivers.

Brianna joined our commercial department in September 2020 and brings 17 years of experience to the firm. She is highly driven and is known for always being active and engaged at work.

Listening and communicating are essential to Brianna’s work. She takes the time to learn as much as she can about her clients’ businesses so she can help them find the right products for their needs.

With four young children and two dogs, Brianna is equally busy outside of work. She loves spending time with her young children and watching them play sports.

With over 20 years of experience in Auto, Home, and Commercial insurance, Jessica brings a wealth of knowledge to her role. She’s passionate about helping others and enjoys learning about her clients and what they aim to achieve.

Outside of work, Jessica loves spending time with her family and dogs. She also enjoys playing chess.

With decades of experience in the insurance industry, Hugh is quick to provide guidance and support to his clients. By having a hands-on approach, he creates meaningful relationships with his clients; many of which have stayed for several years. He has fostered a work culture that values teamwork and takes a people-first approach so all client needs are met in a timely manner. In many ways, First Western Insurance is like a family.

Hugh earned his B.A. from Simon Fraser University, as well as CIP and CAIB insurance designations. With his education plus experience, he is well-versed in all types of insurance.

Most days, you’ll find Hugh at the office, but outside of work he is either golfing or dreaming about his next Hawaiian vacation.

Audrey has been with Rand & Fowler since 2009. She prides herself in providing exceptional customer service for all her clients. No matter how big or small the risk is, she will go above and beyond. In 2021 she became a Mortgage Specialist, this expands her desire to be a well-rounded "solutions" seeker.

Her spare time is spent being active, eating and cooking good food, spending time with her family, and cuddling with her very cute dog, Hami.
